Get up before sunrise and place a pinch of black pepper on the threshold of one exterior door and one window sill. As you place the pepper, recite:

"Pepper sting rogue,
Knave, or thief,
Who so breaks this bond find grief,
I mean it for this window and door,
And all through this house evermore."
